You’ll find all different types of quality when it comes to buying Wayuu bags. At first, it might be hard to tell the difference between one quality and the other and so it might not seem worth it to pay more.
Especially when a single thread bag is twice the price as a double thread bag, why pay more?
If you’re curious and you want to be able to tell the difference between single thread and double thread Wayuu bags, here are a few pointers to help you out.
1. The Weight
Double thread Wayuu bags are usually much heavier than single thread Wayuu bags. Double thread Wayuu bags weigh approximately 550 to 580 g. While the same size Single thread Wayuu bag will weigh around 210 to 230 g.
2. The Crochet Stitch
Of course, the crochet stitch is what makes the single thread Wayuu bags different from double thread Wayuu bags. The crochet stitch of a double thread usually looks much larger than a single thread stitch.
3. The Strap

A double thread Wayuu bag will cost less than a single thread Wayuu bags as they take half the time to make.
